Some general information for your interest.

If you order a web scraping - usually you know for what you need the extracted data (images, videos, emails, texts etc).

This case you need the DATA ITSELF.

But the STRUCTURED DATA means "compact content of a web page" or "data feed".

Internet merchants with online shops can use such a Data Feed as an additional promotion.

It's not a "great marketing guru" idea but just a piece of common sense.

Your own website data is also a kind of marketing weapon - but the data must be structured to use that way.

How people find your website to buy something ? They ask Google, Yahoo, Yandex...any "global" search system.

What else the potential buyers do ?

They also request so-called "marketing channels" - like Google Shopping, Shopzilla, eBay etc

Actually that's MAXIMUM "marketing efforts" what a usual Internet buyer does to find a product to buy.

You have to point search engines EXACTLY TO THAT PAGES what are really important for index.
Placing a RIGHT sitemap significally improves a work of bots like Google - and, accordingly, your web status, visibility and sales.

STEP 2 - Create Data Feed from your website in any necessary format for marketing channels, shopping search systems and/or affiliate platforms.

3) And last - please, see example XML file, open in new window - actually this is exactly what we mean as a "compact version" of the same page. Only important data, extracted and structured.

Hopefully now you understand why we need to write a specific parsing script for every web site what will be processing the huge source of every page to extract only specific data and make them structured as per custom order.

Accordingly - such a data now can be easily processed, converted and submitted to various marketing channels.
